The lifelong focus of CJ Xuning Wang (“CJ Wang”) to foster innovation in both business and academics has taken another great stride as he joins the Future Science Prize as a Foundation Donor. The Future Science Prize is a science award established in 2016 to recognize groundbreaking achievements by scientists of Chinese descent in life sciences, physical sciences, and mathematics and computer science. Widely regarded as one of the most prestigious scientific honors in the east Asia region, it celebrates excellence in fundamental research and aims to inspire the next generation of innovators.
“I have devoted my life to fostering innovation, and I’ve seen value and rewards it creates for consumers. While most of my work has focused on applied innovation, I hope to see the same kind of breakthroughs at the scientific level. This is what inspired me to join the Future Science Prize.” — CJ Wang
As a privately funded effort to reward scientists who have made outstanding scientific achievements in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan, the prize encourages more private funding to promote scientific innovation. Donors to the prize are industry leaders with high reputation, outstanding contributions to society and a strong commitment to the value of science. The award is nominated by invitation only and it is professionally evaluated by the Scientific Committee composed of outstanding scientists, upholding the principles of fairness, impartiality and trust.
