The Janet Lin Pathways Project

Every player’s pathway to success is unique. The Janet Lin Pathways Project aims not to find a model for generating success, but provide these young golfers with the opportunity to forge their own path.

Competitive golf can open a world of opportunity for aspiring athletes. Sport and elite competition provides camaraderie, different perspectives, and tremendous personal growth through the dedication required to win. Expanding horizons, opportunities for education scholarships, and even a career in professional competition are just a few benefits gained from dedication to a sport such as golf at a young age.

Young golfers, and especially girls, are competing at elite levels around the world. Yet despite the increasing number of international born players on the LPGA, there remains major discrepancies in the quality of competitive events, facilities, and mentorship outside of North America and Europe.

Janet Xiyu Lin was born in China and rose to top international competition as a professional golfer by the age of 15. She went on to become a consistent contender for over a decade on the LPGA and an Olympic medal winner. Golf has given Janet so much in life, and she wants to help aspiring young golfers have even more opportunity than she had.

Our Initiatives

With a focus on girls golf, the Janet Lin Pathways Project brings funding support to elite youth golf tournaments and trainings, along with mentorship and international opportunities aspiring players. Every player’s pathway to success is unique. The project aims not to find a model for generating success, but provide these young golfers with the opportunity to forge their own path.

AJGA Invitationals

We host and sponsor two major AJGA tournaments each year, the Arnold Palmer Invitational Junior and the Ninja Invitational presented by Janet Xiyu Lin, providing premier competition opportunities for international talent in the US.

Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific (WAAP)

We sponsor the R&A’s annual WAAP tournament as well as serving as an ambassador and mentor for the WAAP Academy, an annual event bringing international coaching and guidance to young players in the AP region.

Qualifiers

We host and sponsor qualifier tournaments in both Hong Kong and Shanghai for entry into our affiliated AJGA tournaments, providing direct access to limited and lucrative tournament quotas.
